New Bulgarian series “Devil‘s Throat“ premieres on February 28th at 22:00 h on NOVA TV. The criminal drama will be broadcast every Thursday. The audience will see for the first time Bulgarian production of this genre on Bulgarian television. Unlike other Bulgarian productions so far, shooting of “Devil‘s Throat” happened entirely outside Sofia, the episodes were shot in Smolyan and its surroundings. Together with an interesting and intense crime story, mysticism, strange events and mysterious secrets, viewers will enjoy also the beauty of the Rhodope Mountain – the story will take them to green slopes and dark lakes, the Devil’s Throat cave and other places in the region.
All 12 episodes of the series were shot in July, August and September 2017. Vladimir Karamazov will be an investigator from Smolyan, and Teodora Duhovnikova will be a criminal profiler. Actors from the company of the Smolyan theatre join the bright star cast of the production.
On February 18th, the premiere for journalists took place in the small boutique cinema G8. The screening of the first episode was also attended by actors Vladimir Karamazov, Teodora Duhovnikova, Hristo Petkov, Vassil Banov, Valeri Yordanov, director Pavel Vesnakov and cameraman Martin Balkanski. At the press conference after the screening, producer Evtim Miloshev and NOVA TV Programme Director Antoniy Mangov told about the difficulties and expectations of the series. The main actors shared impressions and memories from the shooting of the production.
