Vlado Karamazov with Leading Role at the Rose Festival

Vlado Karamazov was the host of the annual beauty contest “Queen of the Rose”, held in Karlovo every year in May – the month of the Rose Festival. The contest, which took place on 10.05.2019, was attended by 9 girls from 16 to 20 years of age, just as the regulation says. The girls were preparing for the contest show for a week, under the watchful eye of choreographer Bobby Karaivanov. His background includes almost all major beauty contests in Bulgaria, such as “Miss Bulgaria” and others. His presence guaranteed the success and the scale of the magnificent show. The organisation of the hosts from community centre “Vasil Levski 1861” and its chairman Ivan Hadjiyski was impeccable and guaranteed comfort and calm to the participants and the host of the show. Among the beauties, there were future lawyers, doctors, and dreamers.

The girls dressed in sporty elegant suits, as well as evening gowns. Vlado Karamazov brought a dose of humour and helped them be natural and show their best. The jury was chaired by Evgenia Kalkandjieva, who encouraged the girls. On behalf of the entire jury she crowned Yana Tsvetkova, age 16. The mayor of Karlovo Emil Kabaivanov handed the new queen the symbol of the city – gold-plated rose. “Belcanto” quartet took care of the good mood of the audience, which had filled the hall of the community centre. “Bulgarian Rose” JSC gave the host products of the new male series containing Bulgarian rose oil.
